Golden Teacher — la varietà cubensis più iconica
Nessuna varietà ha segnato il mondo della coltivazione di funghi come il Golden Teacher. Apparso per la prima volta negli anni '80 — presumibilmente trovato in natura in Florida — si è rapidamente diffuso nei circoli micologici. Nessun coltivatore ne ha rivendicato la paternità. È semplicemente apparso, ha dimostrato il suo valore ed è rimasto. Oggi il Golden Teacher resta il riferimento rispetto al quale vengono misurate quasi tutte le altre varietà di Psilocybe cubensis.
Il nome dice tutto: cappelli dorati e la reputazione di guidare coltivatori e utilizzatori attraverso esperienze serene e riflessive. Il Golden Teacher è la varietà con cui la maggior parte inizia — e a cui molti continuano a tornare.
Aspetto
I funghi Golden Teacher sono inconfondibili. I cappelli presentano una calda tonalità dal miele dorato all'ambra, iniziano convessi e si appiattiscono gradualmente con un lieve rigonfiamento centrale a maturità. Alcuni cappelli sviluppano un bordo leggermente ondulato a dimensione piena. I gambi sono spessi, robusti e bianchi — a volte con una sottile sfumatura bluastra al tocco. Sotto il cappello, lamelle di colore bruno-viola scuro producono una generosa sporata. Nell'insieme, il Golden Teacher ha un aspetto classico ed elegante: corpi fruttiferi di taglia medio-grande che crescono in grappoli uniformi, rendendo il giorno del raccolto particolarmente soddisfacente.
Caratteristiche di crescita
Il Golden Teacher è una delle varietà più facili da coltivare. Il micelio è aggressivo — colonizza rapidamente e supera i potenziali contaminanti. Tollera lievi fluttuazioni di temperatura e umidità senza arrestarsi, rendendolo una scelta ideale per chi coltiva per la prima volta. Nonostante questa resistenza, il Golden Teacher ricompensa anche i coltivatori esperti con flush affidabili e riproducibili. Aspettati funghi di taglia medio-grande che fruttificano in grappoli uniformi anziché in esemplari sparsi.
Cosa aspettarsi da questo kit
Questo kit FreshMushrooms® è completamente colonizzato e pronto all'uso fin dall'apertura — nessun ammollo, nessuna irrigazione, nessuna preparazione. Posiziona il kit nel sacchetto di coltivazione, piega il sacchetto come descritto nelle istruzioni, e mantieni una temperatura costante di 23 °C. I primi pin compaiono generalmente entro 7-10 giorni, con un primo raccolto completo a circa due settimane.
La maggior parte dei kit produce due flush. Il primo offre la resa maggiore, seguito da un secondo flush dopo un ammollo in acqua fredda. La resa totale si aggira tra i 200 e i 400 g di funghi freschi, a seconda delle condizioni e della cura — il Golden Teacher è noto per i suoi generosi primi raccolti.

Consigli di coltivazione
Il Golden Teacher prospera in condizioni stabili, ma gestisce le imperfezioni meglio di quasi qualsiasi altra varietà. Mantieni la temperatura il più vicino possibile a 23 °C — un tappetino riscaldante con termostato aiuta nei mesi più freddi. Evita la luce diretta del sole; la luce indiretta del giorno o una semplice lampada da scrivania con ciclo 12/12 è sufficiente. I ordered the Mondo and the Fresh Mushrooms "Golden Teacher" kits at the same time for comparison. I have followed the instructions exactly as stated on the respective pdfs (available on the website) for both grow kits.Voto

Package arrived in good time however i discovered a crack in the bottom of the container and was advised to cover this with tin foil and carry on. First flush almost complete after two weeks. No mushrooms grew in the centre of the box, they were all around the outside, and so far I only have about 10 mushrooms. However the total weight of the first flush is 190gm, with a few stragglers being picked in the next few days. Then will start my second flush. Everything worked great and my first experience with shrooms was awesome but not as insigtfull as I hoped but I think a higher dose might hit the spot. I do recommend that you find the grow guide from the website for this specific brand of grow kits since it is way easier to understand than the explanation found in the description. Altogether got about 8 grams dry on the first crop, which as a first time user I was happy with. The second flush produced 1 beast of a mushroom which gave me a good night just off that one. And it doesn't look like there will be a third flush.Voto
I definitely recommend this kit to any beginners, I would definitely recommend going from a spore syringe and learning how to grow your own from scratch for anyone that wants a much bigger grow.

No offence to magicmushroomshop but ive been a verry long customer these are by far the worst kits ive ever had baught 2 kits and 1st flushs came to 8grams dry in total shocking as for the double strenth claim its lies there actully weaker than mms own kits and alot less potent than supa gro followed instructions to a t so dissapointed actully puts me off buying from this site again sorry mms you have lost some of my trust ... De kit wilde niet starten ook niet na een ‘cold schock’... Na zeer succesvolle oogsten van eerdere grow kits vroeg ik om raad, het ging immers 3x eerder wel gewoon goed!! Tot mijn verbazing kreeg ik nieuwe kit toegestuurd! Dat noem ik klant vriendelijk!!! Ik raad dan ook deze site iedereen aan, al is het alleen al het vertrouwen dat ze geven. Gr B. I’ve ordered from here a few times - always great service. These grew quickly and had a good yield. Only thing I would mention is that if you buy different strains the names aren’t on the plastic boxes - so don’t do what I did and take them out the white box without labelling... Package arrived on time. Very discreet - nothing in or outside the box gives any obvious clue as to the contents real purpose, apart maybe from the "reptile mat".Voto
On the first flush, 90% of the mushrooms sprouted from between the box and the mycelium, not sure why. Even so many grew quite large (the largest was 20g) and resulted in 220g first flush. While this is not as large as some have reported, I'm still well pleased with my first attempt - and there's still the next flushes to look forward to.
Brilliant kit, fascinating to grow, highly recommended.
