Amazon — una potenza tropicale
La varietà Amazon ha le sue origini nelle pianure tropicali del Sud America, dove il Psilocybe cubensis cresce spontaneamente in condizioni calde e umide. È una delle linee cubensis più antiche e consolidate — apprezzata da anni per il suo micelio vigoroso e i raccolti generosi. L'Amazon colonizza rapidamente, fruttifica con entusiasmo e ricompensa il coltivatore con alcuni dei funghi più grandi e carnosi dell'intera famiglia cubensis.
Aspetto e crescita
I funghi Amazon si distinguono soprattutto per le loro dimensioni. I gambi sono spessi, compatti e spesso più alti di quelli di varietà comparabili come B+ o Golden Teacher. I cappelli variano dal caramello chiaro al marrone dorato intenso, iniziano a cupola e si appiattiscono a maturità — talvolta con un leggero rigonfiamento centrale. L'impressione complessiva: un fungo robusto e massiccio che riempie rapidamente la scatola di coltivazione.
Cosa aspettarsi da questo kit
Questo kit FreshMushrooms® è completamente colonizzato e pronto all'uso fin dall'apertura — nessun ammollo, nessuna irrigazione, nessuna preparazione. Posiziona il kit nel sacchetto di coltivazione, piega il sacchetto come descritto nelle istruzioni, e mantieni una temperatura costante di 23 °C. I primi pin compaiono generalmente entro 7-10 giorni, con un primo raccolto completo a circa due settimane.
La maggior parte dei kit produce due flush. Il primo offre la resa maggiore, seguito da un secondo flush dopo un ammollo in acqua fredda. La resa totale si aggira tra i 150 e i 300 g di funghi freschi, a seconda delle condizioni e della cura.
Consigli di coltivazione
L'Amazon cresce al meglio con un calore costante e uniforme — una temperatura stabile conta più di qualsiasi altra cosa. Mantieni il kit il più vicino possibile a 23 °C; un tappetino riscaldante con termostato aiuta nei mesi più freddi. Evita la luce diretta del sole; la luce indiretta del giorno o una semplice lampada da scrivania con ciclo 12/12 è sufficiente. Fantastic product, arrived swiftly within a few days and was set up straight away per instructions. I used the heating mat to maintain temperature and first flush was 223g wet, roughly 19.5 after dehydrated. Second flush was smaller but still impressive on the third now. I ordered Amazon and GT, they were shipped really fast (about a week), were in a good condition. But I made two mistakes: firstly I hope that 20°C will be enough temperature to grow the shrooms. No it is not, shrooms didn't grow after 10 days and greyish mold started to appear. Fortunatelly transfer to 24-25°C helped and had 3 flushes eventually. Secondly, please never ever dry the shrooms in a food dryer at 65 °C :D I lost almost all potency. But it was my stupidity. Overall not a bad grow, even tho temperatures weren't optimum( around 23-28degres) I got around 100 gr of fresh mushrooms from the first flush (10g dry) and will see what is gonna happen with the next flushes.Voto
Kits are good quality I guess cause 5 out of the 10 kits I ordered I put them in the fridge for a couple of days and they got some ice on the top but they still produced from 80-120 grams of fresh mushrooms on the first flush so mycelium was still alive. (They told me from the site because of ice mycelium could have died but it was still all good)
